Fekla Tolstoy, the great great granddaughter of Leo Tolstoy will talk about what his contemporaries thought about Leo Tolstoy and what people think about him now.

Fekla Tolstoy was born in Moscow in 1971. She holds a degree in Slavic Languages from the Moscow State University and trained as a Director at the Russian Theatre Academy. In 1999, she began her career as a journalist, working as a presenter on television and radio, as well as writing for a number of newspapers and magazines. In addition, she has written and produced a number of documentary films, predominantly on culture. Since 2012, Fekla has been working at the Leo Tolstoy State Museum (http://russianmuseums.info/M299tolstoymuseum.ru/)  in Moscow as the Head of Development, also was the Content Director of the Museum’s main website and of a website dedicated to Leo Tolstoy’s life and works tolstoy.ru. She was also the creator and producer of a number of projects relating to the digitalisation of culture, including Tolstoy in one Click (2013), Karenina: Live Edition (2014) and War and Peace: Big Read Marathon (2015).
