Kolomna Apple Ladies present: Russian Tea Party – Performance and Tasting of Traditional Russian Apple Sweets!
CamRuSS is proposing a group visit.
A rare opportunity to taste delicious traditional apple sweets (ПАСТИЛА) from the beautiful old Russian town of Kolomna while watching site specific theatrical performance from this extraordinary new Russian working museum of food and industrial history. In Russian with some English translation. Refreshments will be served. Suitable for families.
The Museum of Forgotten Taste “Kolomna Apples” is a private initiative of two Kolomna “apple ladies”: Natalia Nikitina and Elena Dmitrieva. The museum was open in 2009 in the old Russian town of Kolomna, 100 kilometres south of Moscow. The creation of the museum was inspired by the idea of reviving the forgotten taste of traditional Kolomna apple sweets. The museum soon became the town’s main attraction and since its opening has been developing many creative ideas to present a unique aspect of Russian style and taste in the world.
