– Russian Absolute Beginners – Level 1
For those who have no previous knowledge of Russian.
You will learn some basic language needed for everyday situations.
Students will take a short internal assessment in reading at beginners’ level. This will help to prepare them for the OCR Asset Language test that will be taken at the end of the first year of study.

– Russian – Level 2
For those who have been learning Russian for about one term. You will explore some aspects of the Russian culture and gain insight into the Russian way of life.
Students will take a short internal assessment in speaking and writing at beginners’ level.
Day and time: Tuesday 19:00 – 21:00 No. of sessions: 10
– Russian – Level 3
For those who have been learning Russian for two terms, or who have a basic knowledge of Russian. The main focus is effective use of Russian in practical situations. You will also develop a fuller understanding of Russian Grammar. Through the use of authentic materials, you will find out more about Russian people and their culture.
All students will be registered for the OCR Asset language (Breakthrough) award in listening to and understanding Russian at beginners’ level.

2. Russian Saturday Classes For Adults at Cambridge Russian School (Radegund Rd)

The Beginners’ Course is an introduction to the Russian language and culture. By the end of the course, you will be able to engage in simple everyday conversations in Russian.
Day and time: Saturdays 16:00 – 18:00 Number of sessions: 8
The Improvers’ Course is aimed at students who already have some knowledge of Russian. Students will improve their language skills and knowledge of Russian society and culture by reading authentic texts, working on grammar topics, participating in discussions etc.
Day and time: Saturdays 15:00 – 17:00 Number of sessions: 8
