Marina Burrell, Anya Nerukh and Seryozha Schurov played the guitar; we barbecued everything we could, from prawns to courgettes; and “children” of all ages had a volleyball contest. Never mind the Russians, people from a very broad range of ethnic origins came along, from the Welsh to the Japanese!
