About the choir:
Ulibka is a choir of about 65 singers, girls and boys between age of 10 and 12 year. The choir is one of the departments of the State Musical School “Radost”, the famous center of choral education in Moscow. The choir was set up in 1993 by Irina Karavanskaya who is still the choir’s artistic director and conductor. The children, their teachers and parents engage in a variety of exciting activities like walking tours, outings, visits to museums, organizing festivities and staging shows. “Ulibka” is engaged in extensive concert and touring programs, having made many award-winning appearances at prestigious contests and festivals. Our children have been singing in St. Petersburg, Kiev, Vilnius, Kazan, London, Warsaw, Plovdiv, Paris, Stockholm and many other places. The press in Britain referred to the kids as “little singing angels”. Despite the young age of the children their repertoire is wide-ranging and multifarious, featuring classical pieces and folk tune of many countries of the world (often performed original languages) and music by contemporary composers. Some of these pieces were custom-written for the choir.

A Note from Julia Bogomazova, Organizer of choir “Ulibka”:
Dear friends, the children choir Ulibka (Smile), Moscow, Russia is looking for an exchange program with another youth choir for 2011-2012. What we want to do is making friends, sing some concerts, and have some time together. Of course, we will give the same offer in our town. Looking forward to hear from you!
