The exhibition “Cosmonauts: Birth of the Space Age” (http://www.sciencemuseum.org.uk/visitmuseum/Plan_your_visit/exhibitions/cosmonauts.aspx) at the Science Museum in London explores the history of the Soviet space programme, looks at the historical, cultural and spiritual context of Russian space travel, and includes the most significant collection of Russian spacecraft and artefacts that have ever been shown in the UK. This unique collection has never been exhibited anywhere in the world, even in Russia.

Alexandra Smirnova, the Exhibition Curator, will tell us about the exhibits and the story behind the exhibition. Normally, visitors are not offered a guided tour of the exhibition, so this would be a unique opportunity.
