The Cambridge Russian-Speaking Society is organising an art exhibition celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. The exhibition is dedicated to Her Majesty’s historic reign and service to the world, the country and its people over a period of seventy years.
We have invited local artists to creatively reflect on Queen Elizabeth’s long and eventful life and her place in world history, as a monarch who met and worked alongside so many prominent people of the 20th and 21st centuries. Be inspired by her role as a wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Let history, nature, humour, art, and the myths and legends of the royal family inspire and guide you on this journey.
This event is being put on with the support of the Cambridge City Council Community Grant fund.
Proceeds from artwork sales will be split equally between the artists and the CamRuSS Hardship Support Fund, which has been established to help Ukrainian refugees and their host families in Cambridgeshire.
