| £3Screening of “Frozen Time” (2014), a stunning documentary by Alexander Kalashnikov and Vladimir Vasilyev about Mikhail Tarkovsky and his experience of Siberia. The film is based on Tarkovsky’s award-winning novel “Frozen Time”.
Mikhail Tarkovsky is an acclaimed Russian writer and poet. He dedicated this film to his Grandmother Maria Ivanovna Vishnyakova, who was the mother of the prominent film director Andrey Tarkovsky and the first wife of Arseniy Tarkovsky.
Language: Russian, with newly and thoughtfully created English subtitles, by the Cambridge-based Russian specialist, translator, poet, author and teacher of Russian and humanitarian activist Kitty Hunter Blair (Stidworthy), who is based in Cambridge.
Followed by Q&As (in both languages) and a wine reception.
