CAMBRIDGE RUSSIAN SCHOOL FOR CHILDREN (3-17 years old) A friendly, lively and vibrant community of people who live in the Cambridge area, and who consider Russian as one of the spoken languages at home. It is both educational and fun, great value for money, and an excellent opportunity, both for children and their parents, to meet new people and make good friends! NEW VENUE: Coleridge Community College, Radegund Rd, Cambridge CB1 3RJ http://www.axcis.co.uk/map/22317.html
TIME:From September 2007, the classes will take place on SATURDAYS (except for Cambridgeshire school holidays), from 2pm till 5pm. Three lessons, 45 mins each, separated by breaks. Tea break will be approximately at 3:45pm. There are about 60 pupils altogether, ranging from 3 to 17 years of age. They are split into small classes, according to their age and the language skills (i.e. speaking, reading, writing), and taught by professional teachers (the majority of whom are also parents). The older children study Russian Language, Literature, History, and Drama, and prepare for GCSE and A-level Russian exams. Meanwhile, the younger ones are improving their speaking, reading and writing through play, fun activities, music and songs.
