Music lovers and critics in many countries have recognised the artistic skills of Alexey Petrov for the depth of his interpretations and harmonious combination of emotions with excellent technical skills, which are distinctive for the Belorussian piano school.

Belarus-born pianist Alexey Petrov (born 1977) is a graduate of Belarus State Academy of Music and Hanns Eisler High School of Music in Berlin. He has won numerous prizes and distinctions at international competitions in Italy, Spain, Germany and in other countries; these include «Kasseler musiktage» in Berlin, festival of chamber music Port de Soller in Spain, etc. Among his teachers are renowned pianists Eliso Virsaladze, Dmitri Bashkirov, and Naum Schtarkman.

He has performed more than 300 concerts in Russia, Ukraine, Poland, France, Austria, and Germany in the most distinguished venues. He is also privileged to be the only Belarusian musician to give a solo recital at Berliner Philharmonie. He collaborated and performed with the legendary Slava Rostropovich, Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, and Vladimir Spivakov.
