Russian-English Conversation Exchange

This group has been running since 2012 under the auspices of CamRuSS.

We meet every Tuesday morning, at 10am, on the second floor of Waterstone’s Bookshop, 22 Sidney Street, Cambridge CB2 3HG. We have a table reserved for us up the stairs at the back.

The meetings run from 10am until 12 noon, but you are very welcome to arrive or depart at any time during the two hours.

There are roughly equal numbers of Russian- and English-speakers, and we use whatever language you feel comfortable with, so it doesn’t matter at all if you are not fluent.

We like to hear about people’s life experiences, especially during the period when neither country knew much about the other, but the discussion could include anything you care to bring up, whether connected with matters English-Russian or not.

You don’t need to sign up for this group - simply come to one of our meetings, and we shall be delighted to see you! It is very warm, friendly and informal, with people of different age, gender and ethnicity.

Are there any plans to have a Russian/English conversation exchange during non working hours? I’d absolutely love to come along but I have to work. I lived in Russia for the last 3 years and I’ve moved to Cambridge and want to be able to carry on practising Russian and meeting Russian people.
